Dr.Scott Smith
When I graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1987, my wife and I decided that Cedar Park would be a great place to live, work, and raise our children. That was one of the best decisions we ever made. It is an incredible honor to serve the people of this community, but I made a promise that family would always come first. We were blessed with 3 beautiful kids that kept us busy with volleyball, baseball, lacrosse, and equestrian competitions. Now, we have two Texas A&M Aggies and a TCU Horned Frog. They are our pride and joy.
In my spare time, I enjoy getting outside in the Texas Hill Country as often as possible. My favorite activities are mountain biking, water sports, and hunting. During the winter, I make several trips to the Rocky Mountains to ride snowboards. Also, my wife and I contribute our time and resources supporting the homeless, wounded veterans, and battered women.'
Dr. Scott Smith opened Buttercup Dental in Cedar Park in 1987. By combining an outstanding staff with excellent patient care, it has become one of the largest practices in Central Texas. From 2003-2007, he opened 3 additional offices in Bee Caves, Liberty Hill, and Hutto to assist recent graduates wanting to start their own practices.

Dr.Darrell Park
Growing up in California I never thought that I would end up in Texas, but there’s no other place I’d rather be. As the old saying goes, 'I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could'. When I asked my wife (who is from Texas) where she would like to live, she just told me to pick a city in Texas. So here we are and we love it. I’ve been in Cedar Park since 2002, and I’m happy to not only work here, but also call Cedar Park home.
When I’m not working on teeth, I’m spending time with my family. As a family we enjoy many activities including church, school, recreational and sporting. I try to stay fit by playing volleyball, tennis, mountain biking and training and participating every year in the two downtown Austin triathlons.
Dr. Park graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998 and is a 2002 graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Park is a member of the Texas Dental Association, the Capital Area Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

Dr.Steven Stancey
'I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. My wife and I originally moved to Austin for an 'adventure' after I finished dental school. Well, 17 years and 3 children later, every day is still an adventure. We have fallen in love with Austin and think the Cedar Park area is a great place to raise a family. I too enjoy living in the very community that I serve.
I believe Austin is a wonderful place to play outdoors. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, what's not to love? Our young children keep my wife and I busy with plenty of activities, but in my spare time I enjoy home improvement projects and working on my classic British cars.
Dr. Stancey joined Buttercup Dental as a partner in 2009. He is a member of American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Capital Area Dental Society. With over 300 hours of extensive orthodontic training and a sedation license, his special emphasis has evolved into pediatrics, braces, and wisdom teeth removal.
