Michell Cantwell ~ Office Manager

“I’ve had the pleasure of working at Buttercup Dental since 2000 and can honestly say that we have absolutely got the best doctors and staff and some awesome patients. I’ve been in the dental field since 1992 and love doing what I do; working with patients and their families! My husband and I have 3 wonderful children. My family moved to Leander from San Antonio several years back and we really enjoy the small town atmosphere. During my free time I enjoy gardening, reading, walking and serving Leander citizens as a council member on the Leander City Council. I just know that you’ll love our office, and I look forward to meeting you!”

Melinda Hage ~ Office Administrator

“I started working at Buttercup Dental in 1999 and plan on staying here with this practice for a very long time. I love this environment and truly enjoy what I do. I have been in dentistry since 1988 and have knowledge of the front and back areas of the office. I have lived in the Austin area since 1997 when I moved from Tyler. I’m a huge dog lover!”

Stacey Wonderling – Recall Coordinator

“I started working at Buttercup Dental in the fall of 2003. I have worked in the dental and oral surgery fields since 2000 as an administrative assistant. I enjoy the fun and friendly atmosphere we have in our office. I like to listen to music, watch reality TV and spend time with my friends. I look forward to every Halloween here at the office. You should come see us all dressed up! I really enjoy getting to know our patients and look forward to the conversations and laughs that we have with each other.”

Susan Smith – Receptionist

“I didn’t realize that I had found my niche until I went to work in the business office of a family dental practice in Central Austin in the early 90’s. It was so enjoyable getting to know our patients and their children, friends, neighbors and even co-workers. It’s great being able to help patients with things like insurance and scheduling. I am thrilled to be part of the fantastic front office here at Buttercup Dental. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, playing golf and raising thoroughbred race horses. My husband and I have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. My life is very full."

Susan graduated from the University of Texas in 1973 with a degree in Interior Design.

Nga ~ Assistant

“I began as a dental assistant in 1987 and discovered right away that I wanted a career in dentistry. I worked my way through college as an assistant and in December of 1995, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Art degree in Biology. I enjoy working with patients very much and I find the work very satisfying. When I joined Buttercup Dental, the doctors and staff made me feel like I had found my home. The staff is warm and friendly. The office has the latest state of the art equipment and I am very happy to be here. I am also a proud mother and enjoy spending all of my spare time with family.”

Nga graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1995 and has a degree in Biology.

Kim ~ Assistant

“My Husband and I are the proud parents of 3 great children, 2 of which are married and gone. Those children have given us 5 grandchildren – life is great. I have been in dentistry for over 25 years. Laura ~ Assistant

“I’ve lived in the Cedar Park/Leander area my whole life and I love it here. I recently graduated from the Texas State University Dental Assisting School and I’ve enjoyed a smooth transition from school to work here at Buttercup Dental. It’s been a wonderful opportunity for me to work with the doctors and staff here while I begin my career in the dental profession. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing tennis and spending time with my family."

Laura is a 2005 graduate from the Texas State University Dental Assisting School.

Amanda ~ Hygienist

“I was born and raised in Big Spring Texas. I graduated in 1995 from Howard College with an associates in Applied Science degree. I have been a dental hygienist at Buttercup Dental since 2001 and enjoy the atmosphere as well as everyone I work with.”

Amanda graduated from Howard College in Big Spring as a Dental Hygienist in 1995.

“I had been a dental assistant for 15 years for a close knit family dental practice in Louisiana. After our family settled into the Leander/Cedar Park community, I knew I was ready to find my new dental family. After interviewing with several dental practices, I knew that BCD was the place for me. The friendliness of the front office staff, their warm greeting, the professional and caring atmosphere was everywhere. In August of 2007, BCD became my new home.

I enjoy spending my time with my husband and two wonderful boys. Football, basesball,and basketball are just some of our exciting family activities. Our Louisiana culture is still in our hearts and it’s interwoven into our new Texas lifestyle with cajun recipes, festivities of Mardi Gras, and LSU TIGERS!!"

“I’ve been a hygienist since 1996. I recently moved to Austin from San Diego California. I live here in Cedar Park and work with a great team of dental professionals. I spend most of my free time with my daughter and husband, and enjoy exploring all Austin has to offer.

I graduated from California State University of Bakersfield with a BA in liberal studies in 1993. In 1996 I graduated from University of Southern California School of Dentistry with a BS in dental hygiene."
